The Vancouver Police Department Dog Squad has great pride for the police dogs working within the unit. The dogs are all pure breed German Sheppard's and are expected to perform their duties at a consistently high level and as such nutrition is very important.

After researching various brands and types of canine nutrition, the Dog Squad transitioned to a raw diet which was influenced by the use of federally inspected, human grade meat and natural whole foods used by Jake and Daisey's Raw Pet Food Inc.

The decision to make the switch from commercially prepared dog food to a raw diet was influenced by the short term performance and the long term benefits the raw food diet has had on the dogs. Not only have the dogs shown to be healthier they have more energy and perform at a higher level and has added longer service time to the working dog.

Since making the switch the VPD's police dogs have benefitted from better health which in turn benefits the very people whom the dogs are working for - the citizens of Vancouver.

Turkey Dinner for Dogs!

In keeping with our goal to provide affordable and top quality raw pet food, we have added a Turkey, Fruit and Vegetables meal to allow pets to benefit from the folic acid, vitamins B, B1, B6, zinc and potassium found in turkey.

Jake and Daisey's Turkey, Fruit & Vegetables is made with the finest federally inspected, human grade turkey meat (with bone) and liver along with a small amount of ground bone. We have added only broccoli, cabbage, kale, yams, kelp and garlic. We use 75% meat and 25% vegetables in our recipe as always, but by minimizing the ingredient list, we are allowing clients to customize their dog's diet by adding supplements where they see fit. In this diet, less is more, and is definitely for the discerning pet AND owner!

At Jake and Daisey's we take your feedback seriously and as a result of many, many requests we are so pleased to be introducing our first raw cat food formulated specifically for your feline friend.

After researching many of the components that make a healthy raw cat food, we believe our formula will encourage optimal health, is highly palatable for fussy cats and is available in very convenient 227g (1/2 lb.) packages.

Our premium cat food contains Grade A chicken and chicken heart with a small amount of ground bone and finely ground vegetables.
